England Senior Men out in Austria

England Senior Men out in Austria

England Men’s Senior team are currently training in Austria with the world number 48 team, who are in their final stages of preparation for the CEV Silver League in the Faroe Islands.

The England team is there for six days during which they are training and playing the Austrians as preparation for their own summer of competition, including the inaugural Nordic Cup in August.

Their participation has been made possible by the ongoing support of the Volleyball England Foundation, through the JustGiving Page set-up for the team, which you can support by clicking here.

Head Coach Simon Loftus said: “After our successes last year in both South Korea and Luxembourg, we came here as a learning opportunity to play against a world top 50 team.

“I’ve been really impressed with the way the guys have performed and improved both individually and as a team across the 3 matches.

We’re really looking forward to taking what we have learnt back to the UK, our summer camp and then see what we can do on court in Denmark later in August.

Austria have been outstanding hosts and we thank them for the opportunity.”
