The Student Sitting Cup was established in 2025 as the University Sitting Volleyball Tournament and saw four teams compete for the first title at the University of East London's SportsDock.

The tournament is back for 2026 and promises to be bigger and better than ever, with several more teams from around the country expressing an interest to join last year's participants, the University of Nottingham, Loughborough University, the University of Essex and last year's winners, the University of East London.
