New Her Call group to help develop female referees

It will be led and supported by Katarina Cepinova (FIVB International Referee) and Anna Justkowska (Volleyball England Grade 1 Referee).  

Earlier this week, registered female referees were invited via email to the first Her Call meeting, which will take place on Tuesday 26th March.  

If you did not receive an invite, or would like to find out how to get involved, please email refereeing@volleyballengland.org.  

Regular online sessions are set to be held and there is also the intention to grow the Her Call group to offer additional support for registered female referees within the sport. 

 “We are delighted to launch Her Call, a group which we aim to be a space that female referees can join together to network and develop,” said Anna Knibbs, Volleyball England’s Project Lead for Workforce. 

“Following the insightful findings from the WINS report (Coordinated by the European Observatoire of Sport and Employment in May 2023), the group is an important step towards breaking barriers and supporting the development of our female referees. 

“We look forward to meeting many referees on the first call at the end of the month.”
