GB Women ready for Sitting Euros in Italy

The squad travelled out on Friday for the week-long tournament (9th to 15th October) in Caorle, Italy ready to take on the best Europe has to offer. 

They have been drawn in Group B alongside Slovenia, Ukraine, Frnace and Poland. 

Group A is made up of hosts Italy – silver medallists last time around in 2021 and strong favourites this year – Germany, Hungary, Croatia and Turkey. 

“We have had our challenges in the build-up to this tournament,” said Team Manager Amanda Pollard. “We have had one shoulder and one elbow injury, as well as two pregnancies that have depleted the team. 

“We may only have six players, but the team has a tight bond and is really looking forward to an enjoyable competition.” 

Volleyball England would like to wish the team all the very best of luck for their matches.
