Future of sitting volleyball to be discussed this weekend

Future of sitting volleyball to be discussed this weekend

How to strengthen the future of sitting volleyball across England will be discussed at a meeting on Sunday (18th June).

Personnel from Volleyball England, the Volleyball England Foundation and the British Volleyball Federation will join members from the volleyball community.

They will meet at the University of East London from 11am to 2.30pm, with the venue concurrently staging the conclusion of the All Nations Tournament.

Volleyball England’s Strategic Manager (Get, Keep, Grow), Laura Allcoat, believes the gathering of minds will be an important first step in helping sitting volleyball become more established.

“This is a great chance for all those keen to see the progression and development of sitting volleyball go to the next level to share thoughts, ideas and opinions to help make that happen,” she said.

“Like Sport England, and as we have outlined in our strategic plan, The Game Plan, we are firmly committed to helping to tackle inequalities and we feel that giving people more opportunities to play sitting volleyball will play a significant part in achieving that.”
