International appointments for Biegajlo and Widlarz

Volleyball England referees have continued to represent the country on the international stage with appointments in the early part of the year.

Dominik Biegajlo began his year of duty overseas with a Cup game in Belgium between Tectum Achel and TSV Raiffeisen that saw the former triumph 3-0.

His next appointment is a CEV Men’s Champions League match in Gran Canaria next week between Guaguas Las Palmas and Berlin Recycling.

Sebastian Widlarz has already fulfilled appointments in Slovakia, Belgium and Netherlands prior to Christmas.

He has since refereed a CEV Women’s Challenge Cup quarter-final in Las Palmas and will then be in Bucharest, Romania for March’s CEV U18 Volleyball European Championship second round matches.

“CEV has launched a development project for talented referees, and I’m proud to have been selected as part of this programme,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to future nominations to referee internationally and for opportunities of continued development.”
