Donate pre-gamed kit to help other volleyballers thrive in new 2025-26 kitround campaign

Last season, donations and subsequent sales on the kitround website raised a significant four-figure sum for a soon-to-be-launched Hardship Fund, which will help the next generation of young players.
Not only that, but it had a significant positive environmental impact too. A total of 572.76kg CO2e was saved - the equivalent to the emissions generated by driving from London to Lisbon - as well as 2,216L of water saved - the equivalent to a month's worth of daily showers for a person - and 51.18kg of waste diverted - avoiding 10,200 cumulative landfill years.
Now, for 2025-26, in which Volleyball England is celebrating its 70th anniversary, the aim is to get even more players and teams involved as part of the season-long Kit For Good campaign, with more details to follow on those plans soon.
In the meantime, as a reminder, the call will once again go out to individuals and clubs to place any pre-gamed or unused kit or equipment they no longer want or use in the kitbins at any major event held at Loughborough University.
If you are not attending an event, but your club wishes to make a bulk donation, please email communications@volleyballengland.org
Once donated, kit can then be purchased by others at an affordable price online at kitround.com giving it a second lease of life, while helping others to enjoy the sport in an environmentally sustainable way.

Items that can be donated include sports footwear, tops, t-shirts, shorts, socks, tracksuits, hoodies and knee pads – in fact, anything that still has plenty life left in it!
Items can be Volleyball-related, but don’t have to be, as kitround list kit and equipment from a variety of sports on their site.
“It was a great first season partnering with kitround, meaning we will be able to put extra something back into the sport,” said Charlie Ford, Volleyball England’s Chief Executive Officer.
“The hardship fund will soon come into operation, and it will be vitally important in supporting young players who need a helping hand with the costs of being of the talent pathway.
“Our clubs and players have really bought into supporting some of their own. Whether that be when they were getting a new team kit, or because it was time to clear out some space in wardrobes and draws, clubs and individuals have remembered to recycle rather than throw away.
“Hopefully, now the process and idea behind what kitround are doing is becoming better understood across volleyball’s communities, we will see even greater support in 2025-26, in order that we can help even more players.”
The first event where kitbins will be present will be the opening Volleyball England U18 Super Series on Saturday 4th October, held jointly at Loughborough University’s Sir David Wallace Sports Hall and the Netball Centre.
They will also be in place at Opening Weekend 2025 (18th and 19th October) and at other major events throughout the year.
Adam Stevens, Co-founder of kitround, said: “Every item donated is more than just kit; it’s an invitation back into the game.
“Our partnership with Volleyball England is proving how small actions, taken collectively, can break down financial barriers, unlock potential and make sport more sustainable from the grassroots up.”
