Learning experience for Cadets and Juniors during Romania trip

Head Coach Stephen McKeown will lead a squad of 13 Cadet and Junior girls, who are on the England Talent Pathway, during a visit to Romania.

They fly out on Thursday 20th February and will spend five days in Eastern Europe, returning on Monday 24th February.

The trip gives another competitive opportunity for players at both cadet and junior levels who were not selected for NEVZA to travel abroad, compete and experience a different culture.

The aim is to further develop mental resilience and arousal control, building on the recent NEVZA tournaments in Denmark (Cadets) and Faroe Isles (Juniors) in October.

From a playing standpoint, the players will look to continue to develop a fast tempo and variable offence, equipping them with the necessary skills required for senior international volleyball.

The delegation will be hosted by Romanian club CSV Craiova, where they will take part in training sessions and matches.

Providing the opposition will will be leading Romanian U17 club teams CSV Craiova (Friday and Sunday), CSM Bucharest (Saturday) and CTF Mihai I Bucharest (Sunday).
