MAAREE extend Volleyball England partnership to remain as Women's Super League title sponsor

Award-winning sports bra brand MAAREE is to continue its sponsorship of the Women’s Super League for a further three years.

After leading a revolution in sports bra design in recent years, the company linked up with Volleyball England for the first time last year as the title sponsor of the women’s top division.

Now it has reaffirmed its commitment to women’s sport and Volleyball England’s female members, helping to empower women to comfortably excel in their athletic pursuits.

“We’re incredibly excited to renew our partnership with the England Women’s Volleyball Super League,” said Mari Thomas, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MAAREE.

“This partnership means so much to us because it embodies the core of MAAREE’s mission – to empower women in sport by providing them with the performance-enhancing support they need.

“Volleyball players demand peak performance from their bodies, and our sports bras are designed to help them achieve just that. We’re proud to stand alongside these fierce athletes and be a part of their journey to success on the court.”

As part of the partnership, all female players in the MAAREE Women’s Super League will receive MAAREE sports bras, with a fitting session to take place at Super League Opening Weekend 2024 (12th and 13th October).

An ambassador from each MAAREE Women’s Super League team will also be selected following an application process.

Below the top level, all members of Volleyball England can claim 15% discount off their first sports bra, as well as free shipping and a free virtual fitting service.

Volleyball England’s Chief Executive, Charlie Ford, said: “After a successful first year, I am pleased that MAAREE have agreed to continue our partnership and support our strategic aim to enhance and develop our top-level competitions.

“The partnership underlines a shared, long-lasting vision with MAAREE that women should not be held back in playing volleyball in any way.

“Partnership extensions such as this should be seen as a clear indication that volleyball in England provides a compelling, growing and valuable commercial proposition with mutually beneficial outputs.”

MAAREE was founded by Thomas, a keen sportswoman throughout her youth, when she discovered a common challenge shared by many of her female counterparts: the lack of suitable sports bra.

After advising prominent industry leaders as a sports bra tester alongside studying at Loughborough University, she set about crafting a bra that would meet women's athletic needs.

Her debut collection in 2018 sold out and MAAREE has subsequently won a number of awards as a result of its continued innovation.
