Paving the Way: Allcoat Completes CEV European Volleyball Manager Course
CEV has partnered with Lunex University from Luxembourg to provide an Advanced Learning Programme as a capacity-building opportunity for middle management in CEV affiliated National Federations.
One of the individuals taking part in the course is Get Keep Grow Strategic Manager Laura Allcoat. The first person in England to take part in the course has allowed her to develop her skills in management and she hopes to utilise these skills to support her team and the wider Hub at Volleyball England.
Allcoat said “Completing this course has enabled me to gain important management skills & knowledge to be able to handle challenging situations and develop upon my existing knowledge of the sport to apply real world solutions”
CEV and Lunex explain how ‘the four-month executive certificate covers five main blocks with governance and law, marketing and sponsoring, finance and economics, digital transformation and strategic management as well as communication and event management.” Allowing a wide range of skills to be developed and introduced to those taking part in the course.
The programme aims to maintain continuity within the national federation and by participating, candidates will learn valuable skills which can be immediately implemented into their work within the National Federation organisation.
Allcoat looks forward to using the skills and knowledge she has gained from the course and applying it in her daily roles at Volleyball England.
