Book on to Coach Award Courses

Volleyball England is pleased to announce the next Coach Award courses are open for bookings which will for the first time include beach volleyball.

The inaugural beach volleyball course will be led by Kirk Pitman, Beach Volleyball Performance Director and Volleyball England tutors Mark Kontopoulos and Sam Dunbavin.

Both indoor (6v6) and beach courses will hold the residential weekend on 11^th/12^th May 2024 at the National Volleyball Centre in Kettering. The courses will commence week beginning 4^th March 2024 with introductory webinars. 

The Coach Award is for coaches who already have an Assistant Coach Award (or equivalent), are operating in a club environment and are at least 18 years of age. Coaches must also hold a coach registration with Volleyball England.  

The cost is £495*, which includes bed, breakfast, and evening meal on Saturday 11^th May all and all tuition, assessment, and facility fees.

Beach course dates 

• Webinar 1: 4^th March 2024 (19.30hrs to 21:00hrs). 
• Residential weekend: 11^th/12^th May 2024.
• Webinar 2: 9^th July 2024 (19.30hrs to 21:00hrs). 
• Bookings close: 25^th February 2024.

• Webinar 1: 5^th or 7^th March 2024 (19.30hrs to 21:00hrs). 
• Residential weekend: 11^th/12^th May 2024.
• Webinar 2: 10^th or 11^th July 2024 (19.30hrs to 21:00hrs).

Additional course information 

Full attendance at all sessions is mandatory in order to pass the course. In your own time you will also be required to complete eLearning modules and a series of assessment tasks.

There are 24 spaces available on the indoor course and 16 on the beach course, which will be offered on a first come first serve basis.

How to book 

1.     Access the VolleyZone course portal here. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click purchase/register for events.

2.     Log into your VolleyZone account using your existing details.

3.     Expand the search/filter options and select Coach Award course from the event group drop down. Here you will see the available courses listed.

4.     Select the course that you would like to book onto by clicking add. The course will be added to your basket where you can proceed to checkout and pay for the course. If you do not have the option to add the course to your basket, please ensure that you have an active coach registration for the current season.
