Support the Senior England Men's team ahead of South Korea trip

The Senior England Men’s Indoor Volleyball team is appealing for support to cover the costs of playing and training abroad.

Performance volleyball teams in the Home Nations currently do not have access to government funding, meaning the players and staff must cover travel, accommodation and other associated costs themselves.

And while valued partner support has enabled domestic training camps to be maintained, international experience has been out of reach.

As a result, the team has, with the help of the Volleyball England Foundation set up a Just Giving fundraising page to rally support.

The first target is to raise money for the team’s planned trip to a competition in South Korea – the 2023 International University Volleyball Tournament.

It will feature eight teams, including those from the host nation, Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and the USA.

It will run from 25th August to 31st August and be staged at the KAFAC Indoor Sports Complex.

However, any funds raised will also be used to support a game against Scotland in December and the Novotel Cup campaign in January.

No matter how small the contribution it will be hugely appreciated,” said Team Manager Chris Jones.

“This Just Giving page is not just for the South Korea trip we are planning, but for all other future opportunities too.”

More information on the team is available via the teams Instagram and Facebook pages.
