England Head Coaches reflect on NEVZA U20 Tournament in Denmark
Both teams found the going tough amid a high level of competition in Rovaniemi to finish fifth in their respective groups and without a victory.
Nevertheless, there were huge amounts of plus points to be drawn from the trip for both genders as they continue to build for the future.

"The NEVZA tournament was an incredibly positive and valuable development experience for our Women’s U20 squad," said Women's Head Coach Darren Lewis.
"While the results show three-set defeats against high-calibre opposition in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, the scorelines don't tell the full story of our progression.
"Following a tough opening, the team responded brilliantly on day two, significantly raising both our passing and hitting efficiencies.
"We fought hard and consistently put ourselves in positions to win sets; unfortunately, we just didn't execute the big points well enough when it mattered most at the business end of those games.
"Ultimately, this tournament has proven that these players belong at this level.
"Seeing so many individuals showcase the talent and temperament required to now transition into the U22s squad is a massive positive for the future of English volleyball."

The men's team ran Denmark close in a 3-2 defeat and also took a set off Sweden, while Opposite Jelani Conteh was named in the Team of the Tournament.
Head Coach Sam Shenton said: "The tournament was a success in terms of the players’ competitiveness, dedication and professionalism throughout.
"There is naturally a slight feeling of missed opportunities, but when you consider the level of competition, the challenges of preparation and the travel involved, we can be pleased with how the squad has performed throughout this cycle.
"The development we have seen, both individually and collectively, has been significant.
"We now look forward to welcoming around half of the squad back for the next cycle, while those players moving on have a strong foundation to continue their development into the U22s and potentially the Senior National Team."
“Finally, a huge thank you to the staff, parents and clubs who continue to support these players and make these opportunities possible - their contribution is invaluable to the progress of the programme.”
