Poole speaks on his successful season in Germany

The team's success was based on a strong home record, which was the best in the league, as they were cheered on by between 1,500 and 2,000 spectators each game.

Regular season victories included those over Berlin, Luneburg and Fridrichshafen.

“It was a very successful season for the club and personally,” said the England international. “I ended the season with three match MVPs as an outside hitter on the team.

“I loved playing in the German league - it’s very professional and highly organised... and playing in front of that many fans week in, week out was an incredible experience and one I won’t forget.”
