Just a handful of NVL matches were played this weekend, with the vast majority of teams instead competing in the National Shield and National Cup matches.

Bedminster – who also got in a National Cup game too – moved to the top of Division 1 South as they took advantage of other teams not playing by beating Team South Wales

The teams met in Division 2 West last season, so know each other well, but on this occasion it was the Bristolians who made the trip back from Wales with the points as they ran out 25-22, 25-17, 25-21 winners.

Sussex Dolphins 25-26

Sussex Dolphins took their record in 2025-26 to 2-2 with a confident victory over Richmond 2 in Division 2 East, registering a 25-17, 25-22, 25-21 success.

In Division 3 South East, Essex Ravens bounced back from losing their first two matches of the season in winning both games of their latest triangular.

They were straight sets victors over Dartford Warriors and Sussex Dolphins 2, while the former beat the latter in the third match, meaning the South Coast club have yet to get off the mark.

Intervolley Manchester climbed to the top of Division 3 North table with double victory in their triangular with Manchester Moss Side Jaguars and York Falcons

They are the only side in the division still to be beaten and have four wins to their names after successive 3-0 victories at Platt Lane Sports Complex.
