Get tips on how to raise money for your club in the latest monthly workshop 

The 2024-25 Club Survey showed that three of the top five challenges facing clubs were directly linked to costs and funding. 

That’s why Volleyball England is excited to bring September’s online club workshop, designed to give participants the practical tools, strategies, and confidence to boost their club’s financial sustainability. 

“I was given a wealth of information on funding and fundraising outside of grants, which has generated a lot of ideas for me to take back to my club,” said one past attendee. 

“It has also given me a better understanding of what is needed for successful grant applications.” 

Workshop details 

The workshop provides practical guidance on fundraising strategies to support your club’s financial sustainability. 

Learners will explore various ways to raise money, including grant funding, and learn the key ‘dos and don’ts’ for securing financial support. 

Through interactive discussions, attendees will assess their club’s funding needs, compare different fundraising approaches, and develop a tailored plan to meet both short-term and long-term financial goals. 

Date and time 

The workshop will take place online on Thursday 25th September 2025 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm (with optional extra 30 mins for questions after this).

Skills learned by the end of the session 

• Examine the club/org’s funding needs and wants 

• Compare different ways a club can raise money 

• Devise a plan how the club can raise money towards its needs 

Delegate requirements
 

• A minimum of least 16 years of age 

• Able to communicate effectively in English 

• Representing an English club or organisation.
