England’s representatives in three upcoming international beach tounaments can now be confirmed.

Pulling on the red and white in the men’s section of the CEV European U20 Beach Championships at the Parque Deportivo Puerta de Hierro in Madrid, Spain, held from 21st to 24th August, will be Stuart Perry and Theo Plaza, with Maxime Carolan and Tomo Iwata-Furlonger as reserves.

No team has been chosen in the women’s section as the selectors felt no team available would be sufficiently competitive.

The Home Nations Beach Championships, meanwhile, will be staged in Cardiff, Wales on 16th and 17th August, with two teams chosen in each of the men’s and women’s categories.

Although the Home Nations is a U20 tournament, Volleyball England has once again selected U18 athletes for developmental purposes, with two teams required to enter.

Playing for the men will be Ben Green and Felix Summers and Ollie Harrison and Ryan Wartnaby, with Albert Ruddick and Reason Jarmon as reserves.

The women’s teams have been withdrawn as not enough of the players originally selected are available.

Volleyball England would like to wish all the pairs selected the best of luck in their upcoming events.
