How did your sitting volleyball club start?

The club was founded 15 years ago by two amputees who were looking to find a sport they could actively play. With support from the local Sports Partnership, and a grant from the National Lottery, their vision became a reality, and the Lincoln Imps was established.

What is your most memorable achievement as a club?

The club has accomplished so much to be proud of… winning events, supporting the Egyptian sitting volleyball team in 2012 and helping charities introduce sitting volleyball to new communities.

But what stands out the most is that 15 years on we are still regularly training each week and still are passionate about the sport.

What is your ambition for the club?

The primary goal is to expand numbers and welcome more people into the sport, ensuring the club remains strong and sustainable for years to come.

There are many ways to enjoy the sport, whether it's through training with a club, competing in national Grand Prix events, or, for eligible athletes, participating in international competitions.
