Disability History Month: Sitting Volleyball Start Pack

Disability History Month: Sitting Volleyball Start Pack

Volleyball England has produced a Sitting Volleyball Starter Pack that introduces people to the basics of the sport.

It explains what sitting volleyball is and how it first started, the rules of the game and how to set up and run a first session.

Also included is a section on the role of British Volleyball for those who wish to compete internationally, as well as details of useful links to more information.

Alongside the pack, clubs interested in delivering sessions can access template posters and leaflets they can print off and use to advertise when and where they will take place.

Sitting volleyball is fast-paced sport that everyone can enjoy – you can play sitting volleyball almost anywhere, and you can adapt the game to suit the facility, abilities and ages of the players – and is a sport that has been designed to be inclusive, hence the use of the hashtag #inclusivebydesign.
