Help your club be the best it can be

Volleyball England can confirm its series of Club Workshops for 2024-25 that can help clubs around the country improve and develop their offers in a number of areas.

In the last Volleyball England Club Survey, 43% of affiliated clubs shared their feedback and cited their main challenges as the cost of venue, lack of available coaches, court time for players, cost to play, securing funding and a lack of volunteers. 

With that in mind, the workshops have been organised to tackle some of those key issues and give advice and guidance and how to overcome any potential hurdles. 

You can view the various Club Workshop details that have so far been arranged below. These will be delivered in association with Sport England’s Buddle and Sports Structures. 

 

Club Welfare Officer workshop 

One of the ways to ensure the growth of sport is to ensure that it is safe for everyone to be part of. After launching the new Adult Safeguarding Policy earlier this year, Volleyball England is running a workshop for all Club Welfare Officers to help increase their knowledge

Engaging your community workshop 

63% of affiliated clubs want to be an adult community club. Volleyball is a sport inclusive by design which can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. With community clubs at the center of the funding opportunities, if clubs can learn how to engage the community they are part of, this not only benefits community, but can also benefit clubs in securing right funding.

Marketing and social media strategy workshop 

The Volleyball England Club Hub host various resources to support a club’s marketing strategy and building its social media presence. Rated as the lowest on awareness in 2023-24 Club Survey, this club workshop could be highly beneficial for the clubs who want up their game in the traditional and digital marketing space. Dealing with increasing costs workshop 

Increasing costs were among the top three challenges faced by clubs, according to the last club survey. This workshop will look into how that issue can be mitigated – and give a sector-wide update.
