England Senior Men's Nordic Cup squad confirmed

The England Senior Men’s team has announced its squad for the Nordic Cup.

The tournament will take place in Helle Hallen, Denmark between 8th and 10th August and will also involve the hosts, as well as Sweden and Norway. 

Three players – Archie Golding, Cameron Carrington and Sam Peters – will be looking to secure their first international caps during the trip. 

Golding made a significant contribution in South Korea last year and also impressed training in Austria last month, Carrington captained the Malory Eagles to the Cup Final last season and Peters is set to join the University of Nottingham for next year’s Super League. 

The Nordic Cup is a new tournament for national teams and will give each nation the chance to play up to six times in three days. You can find more details on it by clicking here

Captain Zakk Hadgett is excited for the team to take on what will be strong opposition and said: “It’s an incredible opportunity for us to not only play against three very good teams but to show we’re capable of competing with the stronger European sides.

“The more progress we show against these nations the more steps we take towards better funding and support.”
