UKBT Club Championships and Junior Championships head to Sandbanks

Beach volleyball players from across the country will converge on one of Dorset’s most beautiful beaches to battle it out over the two days of competition. 

Hosted in collaboration with Deep Dish Beach Volleyball, both senior and junior athletes will be showcased side by side across the two events. 

The UKBT Junior Championship remains the flag ship event of the junior beach volleyball calendar; with 4 different age-categorised events (U13, U15, U17 and U19), players will compete in both pairs, and in some cases teams of fours, in their quest to secure the range of national titles on offer. 

The championship provides the perfect competitive outlet for country’s top junior talent as they strive to compete in senior events on the UK Beach Tour, the beach volleyball competition officially endorsed by Volleyball England. 

Enrique Bello – brother of England’s Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games bronze medalists Javier and Joaquin – won his first junior beach championships at Sandbanks at the age of just 11. 

Meanwhile, the UKBT Club Championships will introduce a brand-new format on to the British beach volleyball scene. 

Teams will represent their individual club across three different divisions throughout the weekend, with each and every result building points in a quest to see their club crowned as overall champion. 

This inaugural event brings a nations-cup style structure to the UKBT for the country’s elite club representatives, with a Division 2 and Mixed Division following a more traditional event format.  

With all players working together to bring success to their club, the championship will celebrate the UK’s thriving beach volleyball community and generate a cohesive atmosphere as all clubs comes together for the event. 

The entry deadline for both the Junior Championships and The Club Championships (Division 2 and Mixed Division) has now been extended to Wednesday 28th June.
