Community of Practice group to help clubs with their communications

Its first online meeting will be on Thursday 27th March from 7pm to 8pm.
The first session will include an initial introduction as to how the CoP will work and also be themed around the live streaming of matches.
Suggestions for future topics to discuss will also be collected, so those in attendance are encouraged to think about what they would like to talk about.
“People often have questions about the best way to go about their comms activity in relation to volleyball, but can’t always easily find the answers they are looking for”, said Matt Halfpenny, Volleyball England’s Strategic Manager for Digital and Communications.
“This community of practice will provide a forum to be able to do just that. While there may be information presented by our comms team, the emphasis will be on having a discussion an considering different options, ideas or points of view.
“Attendees will be encouraged to share their knowledge and best practice in relation to their comms activity – what have they tried or implemented that has worked well, but also what has proven to be unsuccessful.
“The more people are prepared to give, the more they will get out of it, and we hope that, over time, it will be a valuable support network for clubs.”
To register your interest in joining the group, please email communications@volleyballengland.org with your name, position at your club and the responsibility you have in relation to comms output (for example, social media, newsletter, website, photography, live streaming etc.).
A link to join the meeting will then be sent out in the lead-up to the session.
The deadline for registering interest is Thursday 20th March.
