Queen & King of the Court London Showcase: Freidl and Huber, Polley and Zeimann confirmed to play

Austrians Felix Friedl and Alexander Huber are among the latest players to confirm their participation at the Queen and King of the Court (QKOTC) London Showcase on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st September.

New Zealanders Shaunna Polley and Alice Zeimann have also signed up for the eagerly anticipated event to be held at Canada Square in Canary Wharf (E14 5AH).

Experienced duo Freidl, 28, and Huber, 39, have been solid performers on the Beach Pro Tout this summer season, clinching fifth place at the Futures event in Krakow, Poland.

They also secured a top-10 finish at the QKOTC Crown Series event in Hamburg in late May and early June.

Regular partners Polley, 30, and Zeimann, 26, finished in third place at the AVC Continental Cup Finals in June.

The antipodean pair also won the Beach Pro Tour at Mount Maunganui in their home country in March, having finished fourth at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Other overseas players already announced for the QKOTC London Showcase are Marie-Sára Štochlová  (Czechia) and Sunniva Helland-Hansen (Norway), along with Estonians Mart Tiisaar and Dmitri Korotkov.

They will be joined by England pairs Javier and Joaquin Bello and Freddie Bialokoz and Issa Batrane, with a number of other pairings to be announced in due course.

Overall, there will be 20 teams (10 women, 10 men) who will line up for the event, with a mixture of overseas stars and homegrown talent to fill the berths.
