Volleyball England is working with SkillsActive, the Sector Skills Council for the sporting workforce, active leisure and learning to find out more about the challenges facing sports clubs in the run up to 2012 and beyond.
After five intense rounds the top 24 men’s teams and top 16 women’s teams will take part in the final of the Volleyball England Beach Tour at Boscombe beach, Bournemouth- this weekend.
The weekend rain didn’t put a dampener on proceedings at the Volleyball England Barefoot BeachFest tournament. The national event, held at Nivea Sun Yellowave, Brighton seafront, saw a number of local teams win trophies.
The MARS Refuel Drink Fund has reopened again to offer sports fanatics the chance to get their hands on some funding. £10,000 is available to donate to clubs and individuals in need of a sporting boost.
Since 2006 the British Volleyball Federation has maintained its investment in the six Olympic and Paralympic disciplines under its control, with a view to allowing each squad to pursue its objective of competing with credibility in the London 2012 Games.
