CEV European Junior Championships

23rd January 2012

England Junior Men fly out to Bosnia and Hezegovina today for a busy three days of competition as they take on the second round of the CEV European Junior Championships. The 19-man squad, who have been training hard over the Christmas break in training camps held at the National Volleyball Centre, Kettering, will be relishing the chance to play National European opposition.

First up in Pool 1 England will take on Lithuania, then they will go on to play hosts Bosnia on Friday, before facing Sweden on Saturday. Pool 2 based in Cyprus will see the hosts play Croatia and Switzerland as the teams battle it out for the top spot.

" the players have worked extremely hard in preparation for these championships and we are looking forward to seeing how they perform. This tournament represents the end of a two year cycle for the squad. Many of the players now train fulltime and there is a real desire to make a mark at a European level. "
