Junior Coaches

Stockport Volleyball Club (based in South Manchester) is looking for juniors coaches for its boys and girls programmes for the 2024-25 season. It is looking for coaches to lead its U15 and U16 boys and girls teams, from September 2024 to April 2025.

The coach commitment must be for two practice sessions per week, periodic coaches meetings, Volleyball England Tier 1 competitions and local competitions.

The minimum qualification to apply is Volleyball England Assistant Coach Award (Level 1), or equivalent experience. Funding for coach education is available. 

A coach honorarium is provided as is coach apparel.

If successfully progressing from the first stage of the recruitment process, you will be invited for an interview with Stockport committee members and a potential trial session with club members.

Talent Pathway Coaches (Indoor and/or Beach) 

The purpose of these role is to be a member of the England Talent Pathway coaching staff in one or more roles, as designated by the appropriate Performance Director. 

Roles assigned will be based on current needs and priorities, as well as the volunteer’s skills, experience, and developmental potential. 

Talent coaches also help build a strong community of supporters who can aid in administering and promoting the England Talent Pathway. 

Please note: Candidates will need to fulfil several requirements, including, but not limited to: a current enhanced DBS check, carried out through Volleyball England, which is no more than three years old (costs covered by VE), and attendance at a recognised and valid Safeguarding and Protecting Children training course in the last three years (costs covered by VE).

Scottish Volleyball, in partnership with sportscotland, is seeking to recruit a Development Officer (Community) and a Development Officer (Foundation) to deliver on the strategic plan “We Are Volleyball” in communities around Scotland.

The successful candidates will share the organisation's passion and vision for the growth and development of volleyball in Scotland. The appointed person will be required to demonstrate a proven record of successfully working in community sports and a sound understanding of the Scottish sporting landscape.
